About Alodia Yap (b. 1995)

As an artist based in the idyllic town of Salatiga in Jawa Tengah, Indonesia, I am inspired by the human form and the rich tapestry of emotions that we experience. My name is Alodia Yap, and through my art, I aim to create dream-like worlds that capture the essence of these emotions.
From an early age, I have been drawn to the vibrant colors and fluidity of acrylic and watercolor. These mediums have become my go-to tools for expressing myself, and I love how they allow me to create bold, dynamic works that capture the energy and vitality of life.
I have been exploring the human form in my art, and I continue to be fascinated by the ways in which we express ourselves through our bodies and faces. Through my paintings, I aim to capture these expressions and emotions in a way that is both surreal and evocative. I am passionate about exploring the subjective experience of womanhood through my paintings

My art is a way of exploring the world around me and connecting with others on a deep and personal level. Although I didn’t receive formal training in art, I have learned to trust my instincts and to let my experiments guide me asĀ  I express my vision, and I continue to push the boundaries of my own creativity with each new piece.
